How it works ...
SHIFTA Pallet Mat
enables drivers and loaders to manoeuvre pallets within light goods vehicles, avoiding all of the long established but highly dangerous and inefficient practices, which include the pushing of pallets with a forklift and the withdrawal of them by attaching whatever straps or ropes are to hand.
In operation the pallet is placed on the mat in the back of the vehicle. A rugged steel plate which articulates with the mat then provides a solid surface for the application of the forks which can then effectively manoeuvre the mat and pallet into place. At the off load stage the pallet is withdrawn by forklift via specially designed and specified straps which are supplied as part of the kit.

Step 1
The pallet mat is placed on the floor at the entrance of the rear doors of the vehicle.
Step 2
Using a forklift truck the pallet is placed squarely on the mat.
Step 3
The rugged steel plate is then articulated to provide a solid surface for the forks of a forklift truck or a further pallet which can then effectively manoeuvre the mat and pallet further into the van and into place.
Step 4
At the off load stage the pallet is withdrawn by forklift via specially designed straps which are supplied as part of the kit. Variable strap positions in the steel plate provide extra manoeuvrability.
